The rotary vane vacuum pump is an oil-sealed mechanical vacuum pump and is one of the most basic vacuum-obtaining equipment in vacuum technology.

Rotary vane vacuum pumps can remove dry gases from sealed containers. If equipped with a gas ballast device, they can also remove a certain amount of condensable gases. But it is not suitable for extracting gases that contain too much oxygen, are corrosive to metals, have chemical reactions with pump oil, and contain particulate dust. There are two types of single-stage rotary vane vacuum pumps and two-stage vacuum pumps.

The rotary vane vacuum pump is a positive displacement pump that uses rotary vanes to continuously operate in the pump chamber to suck in and compress gas, and finally discharge it through the exhaust port. The pump is mainly composed of a stator, a rotor, a rotor, etc. The rotor is eccentrically loaded into the stator cavity. There are two rotary vanes in the rotor slot, and the rotary vane spring is placed between the two rotary vanes. The inlet and exhaust ports on the stator are separated into two parts by the rotor and the rotor vane.

When the rotor rotates in the stator cavity, the end of the rotary vane slides close to the inner wall of the pump cavity under the combined action of spring tension and its own centrifugal force, periodically expanding the volume of the cavity on the air inlet side to suck in gas. Gradually reduce the volume of the exhaust port, compress the inhaled gas, and then discharge it from the exhaust port to achieve the purpose of air extraction.

Features and scope of application


A coarse filter with a wire mesh is installed at the suction port of the vacuum pump. It can prevent solid foreign dust particles from being sucked into the pump chamber. The oil separator is equipped with an exhaust transition device with efficient oil and gas separation effect. When the pump is stopped, the suction valve built into the suction port isolates the pump from the pumped system to prevent oil from returning to the pumped system. The pump is cooled by air. All XD rotary vane vacuum pumps are driven by directly connected motors through elastic couplings.

Scope of application:

Vacuum pump is suitable for vacuuming in closed systems. Such as vacuum packaging, vacuum forming, vacuum suction.

Inlet pressure range: 100Pa-100000 Pa. Oil mist will be generated at the exhaust port of the vacuum pump working beyond this range. The working environment temperature and suction gas temperature of the XD rotary vane vacuum pump should be between 5℃~40℃.

The vacuum pump cannot remove water or other liquids. Explosive, flammable, high oxygen content, and corrosive gases cannot be extracted.

Generally supplied motors are not explosion-proof. If explosion-proof or other special requirements are required, the motor must comply with relevant standards.

Its working pressure range is 101325-1.33×10-2 (Pa) and it is a low vacuum pump. It can be used alone or as a backing pump for other high vacuum pumps or ultra-high vacuum pumps. It has been widely used in production and scientific research departments such as metallurgy, machinery, military industry, electronics, chemical industry, light industry, petroleum and medicine. The rotary vane vacuum pump is one of the basic equipment for gas extraction. It can be used alone or connected with ultra-high pumps such as booster pumps, diffusion pumps, and molecular pumps as a backing pump.

Rotary vane vacuum pumps are basic equipment used to extract gas from a specific sealed container so that the container can obtain a certain vacuum. Due to the rapid development of modern science and technology, rotary vane vacuum pumps are used in various scientific fields and various enterprises and institutions. It can be used for scientific research, production and teaching in metallurgy, chemical industry, light industry, petroleum, medical, pharmaceutical, printing and dyeing, electrical appliances, electric vacuum, semiconductor, food, atomic energy, textile and other scientific research institutions, colleges and universities, industrial and mining enterprises. And widely used in oil presses.

Since the rotary vane vacuum pump is made of ferrous metal and is relatively precise, the work of the entire pump is linked together. Therefore, the rotary vane vacuum pump is not suitable for pumping out corroded ferrous metals that contain too much oxygen, are toxic, and are explosive. and various gases that have chemical effects on vacuum oil, and cannot be used as compressors and delivery pumps. If there is a pump with a gas ballast device, a certain amount of condensable vapor can be extracted.

Use of rotary vane vacuum pump

Before starting, check whether the cooling water of the water-cooled pump is connected. When the ambient temperature is low, you can move the pulley by hand to drain the oil in the pump cavity into the oil tank. Then press the motor button to send power. Pay attention to whether the power supply direction is reversed and whether the pump rotation direction is correct.

Check whether the oil level of the vacuum pump is near the oil mark line; when connecting the valve of the pumped system, do not open it too fast to prevent a large amount of oil from being sprayed. Pay attention to whether there are abnormal noises and impact sounds during operation, and pay attention to the increase in oil temperature of the pump. Stop the pump immediately when local overheating occurs to prevent pump jam or wear. When stopping the pump, be sure to add air from the pump inlet (generally purchased units have automatic release valves). Cut off the power and then cut off the water.

A rotary vane vacuum pump is a vacuum pump in which the volume of the working chamber of the pump chamber separated by rotary vanes changes periodically to achieve air pumping. When the working fluid is used to lubricate and fill the dead gap in the pump chamber, and separate the exhaust valve and the atmosphere. It is usually called a vacuum pump. 2. Ultimate pressure: ≤6*10-2Pa (Pascal)

3. Ultimate vacuum: ≤1.3Pa (Pascal)

4. Gas type: Clean, dry air at room temperature without other mixtures, and air containing other dust and moisture is not allowed.

5. Working requirements: When the inlet pressure is greater than 6500Pa, the continuous working time shall not exceed 3 minutes to avoid pump damage caused by oil injection.

6. Working requirements: Long-term continuous operation is allowed under the condition that the inlet pressure is less than 1330pa.

7. Ambient temperature: Vacuum pumps are generally used in an environment with a room temperature not lower than 5°C and a relative temperature not higher than 90%.
